Join the Society

Wherever you are in the world, membership of the Society for the Study of Medieval Languages and Literature costs the same.

Membership rates are as follows:

Ordinary Membership: Old rate: £20 per year -->  New rate: £30 per year

Student/Unwaged Membership: Old rate: £10 per year ( or £20 for 2 years) --> £15 per year

If you pay via PayPal, this adjustment will be made automatically in 2025 and you do not need to do anything; if you pay by standing order, you will need to adjust this, either by changing the amount through online banking . 


The benefits of membership include
* without further charge, receipt of current issues of Medium Ævum for the duration of your subscription without further charge, in print (to your registered address) and electronically (via the web or via email), and free online access to Medium Ævum issues & monographs.
* a reduction of 50% on the list prices of the Society's printed monographs
* reduced rates or free entry for events organised by the Society
* eligibility to apply for the Society's research travel bursaries and sponsorship of conferences
reduced prices for members on selected journals and books published by Wiley-Blackwell

Subscriptions are due each year on the same month and day as that on which members joined.

To join, simply fill in your details below (you only need to give an address if you wish to receive the physical journal), then push submit 'Create Account', and choose a Paypal payment option - or if in the UK you can set up a Standing Order ( please contact the Executive Officers on ssmll@history.ox.ac.uk to assist you).
